Get ready for November’s Principals Roundtable featuring AIA South Atlantic Region representatives Mark Levine, FAIA and Luke McCary, AIA.
With the biennial regional conference, now named ASPIRE, scheduled for April 14-16, 2019, Mark and Luke will present on the new conference model and the AIA Strategic Council.
The AIA Strategic Council
Established in 2014, the AIA Strategic Council works to advance the architecture profession by informing the board of directors of important professional issues and opportunities. However, the council remains a mystery to many members. Join an open dialogue on the work of the council, exploring how visionary leaders like yourself can influence the future of the practice. After hearing from your regional representatives on current research initiatives, you’ll learn how you can engage in this collaborative think tank to collaborate with industry leaders and design better communities.
The South Atlantic Region is embarking on a new conference endeavor. We are taking the current regional conference model and turning it upside down – with the intent to increase relevance, attract a larger member / allied member demographic, and better engage with the public. The ASPIRE Experience will be a one-of-a kind conference using Asheville’s art scene, historical architecture, craft breweries, popular parks and local businesses as the backdrop for a program of education, inspiration and engagement for the design and construction community. The ASPIRE Experience will offer designers the opportunity to dialogue and impact positive change in their communities.
