Learn Over Lunch

Wednesday, November 10, 2021

This course explores a cutting-edge technology called Ultracompact Surfacing. The audience will gain insight into how this surfacing material possesses similar characteristics to natural stone while it provides superior durability compared to porcelain and universal design flexibility.

Learning objectives

  1. Define Ultracompact Surfacing and discuss the innovative production process that creates superior properties which contribute to project longevity and less maintenance
  2. Discuss designing with Ultracompact Surfaces in terms of color, texture, format, general design flexibility, and various applications for both interior and exterior applications
  3. Identify the traits and advantages of Ultracompact Surfaces in terms of strength, durability, UV resistance, absorption rates, abrasion resistance, and ASTM testing
  4. Review the dynamics of C.O.F (Slip Resistance) and the changes made from Static C.O.F to Dynamic C.O.F.
