This program discusses the foundations of the glass selection process and explores the aesthetic options available to meet project design and performance requirements. Included is a special focus on understanding the variety of performance coatings and customized glass fabrication options.
Attendees will be able to:
- View glass samples in order to determine the most accurate impression of appearance.
- Identify the key criteria in selecting glass types and will know how that selection will influence the trade-offs between performance and aesthetic/design criteria.
- Determine the difference between different fabrication techniques such as lamination, silkscreen, and spandrel applications.
- Identify the differences between a variety of glass types and sputter-coated Low-E products with regards to appearance and performance
