12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Participants receive a review of the current state of the industry in which value engineering is applied to a design project. It is often a cost-cutting method that devalues the final product. When value analysis is applied during the initial planning stages of the project, there is an opportunity to consider true value improvements that support the long-term cost/benefit to the client.
The course reviews each stage of the value analysis process and attendees are asked to participate by providing real-world examples of when they have faced value engineering challenges.
Attendees will be able to:
- Perform a Project Value Analysis as unique from Value Engineering using the framework provided.
- Identify and analyze product functionality as it relates to the overall project objectives and stakeholder goals.
- Assess product viability based on the specifics of the project using examples and tools provided.
- Develop specifications and appropriate budget allocations based on Value Analysis that more accurately encompass project costs and lifetime cost/benefit to their client.
Lunch will be provided only to registered individuals.
