Using Permeable Concrete Pavement to Control Stormwater – Georgia Masonry Supply /Old Castle
In many urban watersheds, regulators are adopting green infrastructure solutions for stormwater management. Retrofitting impervious pavement with materials designed to infiltrate stormwater is one obvious solution. The use of permeable interlocking concrete pavement (PICP) in parking lots and driveways has grown significantly in the last decade. Dozens of publications have demonstrated the runoff and pollutant control benefits these systems provide. However, parking lots and driveways cover relatively small areas within an urban watershed. This presentation will describe how PICP systems are designed and constructed.
