AIA Atlanta is honored to host June’s Architects Roundtable with the newly appointed John Portman Dean’s Chair of Georgia Tech’s College of Design, Dr. Ellen M. Bassett. During the breakfast, she will share her inclusive approach to design, urbanism, and helping train effective, ethical, and innovative design professionals.

Dr. Bassett will also discuss the role of architecture and the design disciplines in addressing societal challenges like social and economic injustice, which directly impact housing affordability and the design and construction of human environments.

Finally, attendees will get to learn about the recent achievements of the College of Design, hear the new dean’s thoughts on how the profession can grow by better supporting people of color and women architects, and share their thoughts on connecting the AEC industry and the greater community.
